End of the year

Our twins will be out of school in three days. It’s hard to believe that the school year is over. On one hand, we’ll be glad not to have to get up at 5:55, make breakfast and pack lunches. On the other hand, it will be a challenge to get them in bed before midnight and up before noon. Ah teenagers.

TwinsPages just secured a booth at the Twins Days Festival, in Twinsburg. Ohio, in August. We’ll also be a the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs convention, in July. See you there.

All for now.

Space Twins

Surely you’ve heard about Scott and Mark Kelly, the twin astronauts. Space.com has a nice article about how they were reunited when Scott returned from duty on the International Space Station.

On a personal note, sometimes our identical twin 17-year-olds have a hard time understanding why the other guy has the exact same interests.  It’s not a case of copy cat. They have the same DNA. Makes  sense to me. It must be hard to strive for a unique identity when genetics drive you to similar likes — that, and being in a small school where there are few choices for activities and clubs.

Don’t forget to visit TwinsPages!

All for now. Cheers.

I like the sound of this.

TIME Magazine has a story on why mothers of twins and multiples may live longer than mothers of singletons. I like the sound of this, especially since my family has a history of living into the 90s. I’m shooting for 100 or longer. Wish me luck and read this article.

By the way, TwinsPages is doing well and we have more than 1,000 “likes” on Facebook.

All for now. Cheers.

Just had to comment here. Mariah Carey named her twins Moroccan Scott Cannon (her son) and Monroe Cannon (her daughter). She is a lot trendier than me. I named my twins Sam and Max. Good “bark-able” names.

All for now. Cheers.

Two of everything

I guess by now you’ve heard that it is prom season. We have two boys, and one very handsome, classic, black tuxedo. The tux belongs to my dad, and our eldest son loved using it in his high school days.

Our first-born twin has used it for his Jazz @8 performances so he believes he has a bit of a claim on it.  Perhaps we should spring for a rental. Or perhaps a used tux on eBay. I wonder if the other grandfather’s pin-striped gangster suit with wingtips might do for twin #2. Hmmm. “Gangsta’s” are in, yo.

Oh, yes. Congratulations to Mariah Carey and husband, Nick Cannon, on the birth of their twins. But please, stop calling them “dem babies.” Makes you sound “gangsta.”

All for now. Cheers
